You must register for a CIRBI account before you can submit or access any submissions in CIRBI.
To register for an account, complete the following steps:

On the login page, click the “Register” link.
- On the page that opens, enter the following information about yourself, your organization and role, and your credentials. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk:
- Title
- First Name (Required)
- Middle Name
- Last Name (Required)
- Credentials/Degrees (For PI registration)
- Email (Required)
- Note that the email you enter will be used as your CIRBI username and all communications from CIRBI will be sent there. You should register with an email address that’s clearly associated with your organization and to which emails can be sent and viewed. Your email address must be unique to you and can’t be shared by any other CIRBI accounts. If you attempt to register when you already have an account registered to your email address, you'll be sent an email with instructions for logging in.

- Principal Investigator: You are or will become a principal investigator of a study in CIRBI.
- Research or Study Staff Member: You are or will become a research staff member of a site/study in CIRBI.
- Research Sponsor or Drug Company: You are or will become a sponsor staff member of a study in CIRBI.
- Contract Research Organization (CRO): You are or will become a CRO staff member of a study in CIRBI.

- United States is selected as the default country code for Phone Number and Mobile Number. To select a different country code, click the flag drop-down list and select a new country.

- In the Study Access section, select the responses which best describe you and your study access needs.
- If you indicate that you need access to an existing study in CIRBI, another field is displayed where you can enter the sponsor name, protocol number, and investigator’s name of the study to which you need access.
- Click the Submit button.
If your request is approved and you're using the standard CIRBI login method, you'll receive an activation email from CIRBI. When that email arrives, complete the following steps:
- Click the Activate Account button in the email.
- On the page that opens, enter and confirm your password. Make sure your password meets the criteria listed on the page. The icons next to each criterion update dynamically to indicate if your entered password meets or doesn't meet the criterion.
- Select a security question from the drop-down list and then enter an answer to it. We recommend you enter a question-and-answer combination that no one else will be able to figure out.
- Click the Submit button.
- On the Terms of Service page, read and scroll through the terms of service. If you agree, click the checkbox and then click the Accept button. Your account is created and you’re logged in to CIRBI.
If your request is approved and you're using Advarra SSO to log in, you'll receive an Advarra SSO invitation email. Refer to the Advarra SSO page for Advarra SSO registration instructions. If you already have an Advarra SSO account, you'll receive an email stating that the CIRBI application tile has been added to the Advarra One homepage. Click the tile to access CIRBI.
After your CIRBI account is created, you can self-service changes to your personal information on the My Profile page. If you need to request administrative-level updates to your account due to changes at your organization, contact CIRBI Product Support.
Note that if the terms of service are updated after you register, you will be prompted to review and agree to them again.
